Full of beans

Are you feeling full of beans today?

To be full of beans means to be full of energy and enthusiasm! This expression originated in the 14th century, in Europe, when horses became energetic and lively after being fed beans! 






Knackered

To feel knackered means to feel the opposite of "full of beans"! It means to feel exhausted, very tired, and just like "full of beans", it's mostly used in British countries.
