How is the course organized?
In this course, we use some tools of the pedagogical approach to project-based learning and flipped classrooms. Thinking, collaborating, using the language, and creating is the idea!
Project-Based Learning
Project-based learning refers to students designing, planning, and carrying out a project that produces an authentic final publicly-exhibited output such as a product or presentation.
Our activities will be designed to build knowledge and develop skills to incorporate autonomy in language learning. They should grant students the independence to collaborate and connect learning to the real world.
Flipped classrooms
In flipped classrooms (or inverted classrooms), students review materials before class. In-class time is dedicated to discussions and practice under the guidance of your professor. The materials we will use can take the form of recorded lectures, videos, reading assignments, or any material that the instructor assigns as relevant to the topic at hand.
